@supersixty Can you do whatever you want with your car in Malaysia?
Or do you have some organizations like we have (TÜV, Dekra, etc) which check your car if its safe for the public streets? In Germany it would be a whole lot of work to get this car on the streets because you need so much documents to prove everything is safe etc.
The answer is definitely "NO" Mr. @xLiz.. My vehicle needs to go through several process for approval before it's confirmed safe to use as road legal.. And i also need to appoint an engineering consultation to verify the modifications i've made to follow the set standards.. As for the documentation process itself takes about one month and it will be reviewed by the Malaysian Road Transport Department.. After getting a letter of approval, i need to send my vehicle to the advanced inspection center called PUSPAKOM..
I think it's almost similar process applied at your country too sir..

Wow, what fireworks on Google Translate ... @supersixty Nice Project! Swap a totally different Engine to any car is great.
Unfortunately i don‘t have such skills....Even though you don't have such skill it doesn't mean you can't do it sir.. World nowadays is very sophisticated and very easy.. You definitely can do it when there's a will..
I'm very grateful for the praise given..

six cylinders are six cylinders, modern bmw engines are not suitable for tuning purposes. And the old ones are too expensive. BMW is to blame.
Good one sir..

@supersixty your welding work looks very nice!
It is because of those aluminum pipe itself Mr. @Paladin..
-
He wants to be faster and furiouser. What we think is totally sausage. If he scratches the curve the result could be very first cream.
Danke mein herr..
-
sorry but such a motor of a rice sling has lost nothing in a bmw ...
danke für deinen kommentar herr..
The difficulty of getting E60 spare parts here in my country are the main reason why i'm doing this engine swap.. I've also spent a lot of money before, just to keep the purity..

Wow, amazing project.
But for me the most amazing thing about all this project are those welding skills : sabber:Huge loads of respect for you to get this thing going!
Hopefully everything will work out as expected
Thanks for the compliments Mr. @xLiz..
Those welding looks interesting because of the aluminum pipe itself and we will not be able to visualize the attention if using stainless steel pipe sir..
There's not much to do sir.. 60% done..
Amen..

But you could make Videos of every Step now and If you are done and everything works fine you could put them on YouTube. No Headache
i will Mr. @Dr Death..

Here's my turbo housing inlet neck, welded few minutes ago using TIG welding (tungsten inert gas and is technically called gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW).. As for the material i'm using aluminum pipe.. The reason why i'm using aluminum pipe because it's an excellent conductor of heat.. Mechanically strong and visually appealing for the avid auto enthusiast or hobbyist..
-
You should make a Build Video and a YouTube Channel. Money for you.
thank you for your advice Mr. @Dr Death..
I would rather to share it here before i get myself a headache.. hahaha..
I'm very thankful that myself and my project accepted in this BMW E60-Forum with open and full of supportive members.. -
